What do you enjoy the most about wealth management?
My approach to wealth management is deeply rooted in building lasting relationships, getting to know my clients, and having a thorough understanding of both their financial and personal goals. People are often surprised at how intertwined financial and personal matters become, which is why I focus so heavily on building the relationship. It helps put me in the best position to help my clients. I’ve always found happiness in helping others and working as an advisor allows me to help my clients every day.
What do you love most about being part of Harvest?
The team at Harvest is built of talented individuals who all share a passion to serve our clients. As an independent firm, we are truly able to put the needs of clients first. Not only do our clients have the Harvest team supporting them but they also benefit from the expansive resources provided by our Registered Investment Adviser, Commonwealth Financial Network®. This allows us to provide concierge style services.
What do you love to do outside of work?
When I am not spending time with family and friends, you will often find me running the shores of Gloucester, golfing, reading, or volunteering for our local animal shelter. Having fostered countless dogs to help them find their forever homes, you may certainly say I am an animal lover!
What qualities of yours make you best suited to do what you do?
Listening and communication are two of the most important aspects of being an advisor. I’ve built my career around providing a comfortable space for clients by being open and understanding. It is both respect and honesty that I believe my clients value most, as they know I will always strive to act in their best interest.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am proud to have earned my CFP® and CTFA certifications to serve as a trusted financial advisor to my clients. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have countless advisors offer me their mentorship. I have not only built on the skills needed to serve as a financial advisor, but I’ve come to a deeper understanding of the efforts women and others have made to break barriers in the industry. Their accomplishments and fortitude helped pave the way for future generations and for women like me.
Where does your story begin?
I was raised in Framingham, MA and my love for the ocean brought me to Gloucester, MA in 2018. After graduating from Westfield State University, I went on to complete the Financial Planning program at Boston University and then began studies for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) exam. My professional story actually begins here at Harvest Wealth Management when, in my junior year at Westfield State, I interned for founders Bob Rice and Joshua Benet. This internship unexpectedly proved to be transformational for me. After seeing how Bob and Josh helped their clients navigate both financial and personal matters, I shifted my career focus. Upon graduating from college, I went on to grow in the industry, working in client-facing roles for ThomasPartners Inc, Athena Capital, Boston Financial Management, and BNY.
