After more than two decades in international business and over 20 years as a financial advisor, Ollie brings a broad perspective to helping clients navigate important financial decisions. His experience leading businesses around the world, combined with a passion for education and long-term relationships, has shaped a thoughtful, client-first approach to wealth management. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, camping, sailing, and spending time with his wife, Beth, and their family.
Where does your story begin?
Financial planning was my second career. After graduating from Harvard College, I spent nearly 20 years in international business, living and working throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In 2004, I transitioned to wealth management because I wanted to build an independent practice centered on long-term relationships and helping people make thoughtful financial decisions.
What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
The relationships. One of the most rewarding aspects of this profession is working with clients over many years as their lives evolve. Helping families navigate retirement, major life transitions, and financial decisions over decades creates a level of trust that makes the work incredibly meaningful.
What do you enjoy most about being part of Harvest Wealth Management?
Harvest combines the personal attention of a boutique advisory firm with the resources, technology, and investment research needed to serve clients at a high level. I enjoy collaborating with our experienced team to develop customized solutions while always keeping our clients' best interests at the center of every recommendation.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
Earlier in my career, I managed AIG's life insurance and pension businesses in Santiago, Chile. It was a unique opportunity to help lead two growing companies during an exciting period of economic expansion while living abroad with my family. The experience broadened my perspective both professionally and personally.
What qualities make you well suited to do what you do?
I've always enjoyed teaching. Financial planning can be complex, and I believe one of my most important responsibilities is helping clients understand their options and feel confident in the decisions they make. An informed client is better equipped to achieve their goals.
How can clients get the most value from working with Harvest Wealth Management?
The best relationships are collaborative. Clients who communicate openly about their goals, concerns, and life changes allow us to provide more thoughtful advice. Because every client is different, our planning and investment strategies are tailored to their unique circumstances, with responsive, personalized service every step of the way.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible, especially hiking and camping in the Sierra Nevada and Adirondack Mountains. My wife, Beth, and I have spent many years exploring the Lake Tahoe area with our family, and there are still plenty of national parks on our list to visit.
